Qualifications: A PhD in Theology and Religious Studies. Special preference will be given to applicants with a specialization in Social Scientific Studies of Religion.
Duties:
- To teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of Social Scientific Studies of Religion.
- To supervise students’ research projects and theses.
- To conduct research.
- To provide professional guidance to the Department.
Terms Of Service
Local Candidates
Permanent and pensionable service after successful completion of two years on probation; Recruitment and Retention Allowance, Housing Allowance and Medical Aid.
Expatriate Candidates
Two-year contract renewable, 25% gratuity at end of first contract, 27.5% gratuity for the second contract, and 30% gratuity for the third and subsequent contracts, plus 10% Inducement Allowance; travelling expenses paid on appointment and on normal termination for appointee, spouse and up to 5 children under 19 years of age; biennial leave.
